POPULAR QUESTIONS

  • Why does a garden driveway or patio project cost so much?

The amount of work that is requested to be carried will reflect the amount of cost on any project.

  • What is the timeline for the project?

Time frames will be set give or take a day or two. Unfortunately like most outdoor projects we heavily rely on the weather being kind, this can sometimes play havoch with completion times.

  • What is the total budget for construction?

The larger the project the more costly it can become. Please keep in mind, we can & will carry out anything requested by a client BUT we are not here to finance anyone’s project no matter what the circumstances are.

  • How is garden project initiated?

Please go to our contact page, you can start the process by getting in touch.

Planning Permission & Drainage

We also abide by the local authority rules. This is something we have to manufacture into our quotations and its worth noting what we’re stating below.

From 1 October 2008 the permitted development rights that allow householders to pave their front garden with hard standing without planning permission have changed in order to reduce the impact of this type of development on flooding and on pollution of watercourses. You will not need planning permission if a new or replacement driveway of any size uses permeable (or porous) surfacing, such as gravel, permeable concrete block paving or porous asphalt, or if the rainwater is directed to a lawn or border to drain naturally. If the surface to be covered is more than five square metres planning permission will be needed for laying traditional, impermeable driveways that do not provide for the water to run to a permeable area.
